چکیده

Fungi are important organisms for human population and could find important applications namely, in many pharmaceutical and food industries. A variety of compounds has been isolated from medicinal and edible mushrooms, and their healthbeneficial effects have been reported. On the other hand, it is important to control microfungi as parasites and contaminants since they can provoke, in some cases, serious issues to human health.

Synthesis and evaluation of the antifungal effects of [5-aryl-[1, 3, 4] oxadiazole-2-yl] phenyl-methanol

Introduction: Nowadays the drug resistance outbreak in fungi is considered a serious threat to the health of human societies. Oxadiazole derivatives that are high biologically applicable can be a good alternative to common anti-fungal drugs. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the anti-fungal properties of new derivatives synthesized of oxadiazole and compare them with common anti-fungal ...

Endophytic Chaetomium sp. from Michelia champaca L. and its taxol production

The study of naturally occurring compounds from plants has progressed to its present state of development by passing through a long time. Fungi have an excellent record in producing novel bioactive compounds and many of these presently have important medicinal properties. We subsequently isolated few endophytic fungi from plant parts and tested for the production of taxol like compound. Medicin...
